Craft Beer Review: Caldera Brewing Mogli (Kettle Series)

Caldera Brewing
590 Clover Lane
Ashland, OR 97520

This beer was given to me by a friend who is from Ashland. Thanks Matt! Sorry it has taken me so long to put the review up.

Oak-Aged Imperial Porter Brewed with Chocolate
8.5% ABV

Dark, DARK chocolate brown. No light penetrates. Thick head with a mix of medium and large bubbles. Heavy lacing.
Bold, sweet. Chocolate and vanilla. Slight hint of alcohol.
Super that a word? Smooth with a bit of bitterness at the end. Almost milky in its smoothness. Slight alcohol warmth as it goes down and hits the stomach. Oaky finish.
Full bodied, rich. Carbonation is there but light and doesn't hit until swallowed.
A massive and bold chocolate porter that doesn't overwhelm with oakiness or roasted/toasted malts.
